AccommodationA well appointed, non-smoking, one-bedroom apartment attached to our family home known as Brig y Don. This name is Welsh for “crest of the wave.” These waves provide a sight to remember at high tide, whether from the apartment windows or from the cliff path that winds round to Scott’s Bay. Guests can relax in the pretty front garden used by the apartment, park a car in the off-road parking bay and enjoy fine views of the estuary from all main rooms.
Ground floor - Kitchen / Diner: A spacious room with
a newly fitted and well-appointed Möben kitchen, including a Range
cooker, separate fridge and
freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Imagine sampling local Sea Bass, Sewin
or locally reared organic
lamb with a good wine to round off the day.
A small cloakroom/utility room is found
to the rear, with automatic washing machine, WC and hand basin.
A
comfortable light and airy room, with wonderful views of the changing
tides, the herons, horses galloping on the sands, kite-boarders and
fishing boats venturing out to sea. There is a sofa bed, digital TV, DVD
player, CD player and a Broadband access point (if hired, network cable
included, computer not included). A bathroom with bath, basin,
shaver point and WC is found to the rear.
A spacious bedroom, full of character under the eaves, where the dormer window provides a bird’s eye view of the Tywi estuary and the trains following Brunel’s railway route around St. Ishmael’s headland. Furnished with a Sealy Roulette Posturepedic super king bed offering ideal support and comfort (can be divided into two singles), a wash basin, wooden furniture and kettle.
